  • In other words, racism is the normal in America and that when someone commits a racist act it should not be seen as one isolated event but as part of a larger system of racism in America.

(2) the idea of an interest convergence

(3) the social construction of race

(4) the idea of storytelling and counter-storytelling

(5) the notion that whites have actually been recipients of civil rights legislation
